Native Instruments released a new artist video on Barcelona-based German producer Martin Buttrich.
The video highlights MASCHINE’s role in his creative life, as well as his close work with recognized artists Loco Dice and Timo Maas. Martin Buttrich’s two-decade career features releases on labels such as Four:Twenty, Cocoon, and Poker Flat, live sets at renowned clubs around the globe, and extensive co-production and remix work for some of the world’s premier acts.
In the video, Martin Buttrich explains how MASCHINE is the universal tool that helps him feel at home in any production environment. When producing his own music, Buttrich often runs MASCHINE in standalone mode, relying on the high quality sounds included with the MASCHINE 2 library. The MASCHINE Drum Synths act as starting points for further inspiration, allowing Martin to layer them with the unique sounds he has collected over his 20-year career. Because MASCHINE runs as a plug-in in any DAW, Martin is able to quickly integrate his favorite sounds and personal workflow into the varying setups he encounters when collaborating with artists around the world.
Martin Buttrich’s 20-year career includes over 100 co-production and remix credits including Madonna, Depeche Mode, Josh Wink, and even funk legend Bootsy Collins. In the video, artist Loco Dice talks about how collaborating in the studio is essential for him to re-create the energy and mood experienced when playing live on stage. Buttrich is also responsible for many of Timo Mass’s club chart-topping remixes in the late 90s and early 2000’s. His work over the last two decades has led Martin to amass an extensive library of signature sounds. Having imported this library into MASCHINE, Buttrich is now able to access his celebrated career of sound design quickly and easily.
