Korg and Bandai announced “Kamata,” a synthesizer that lets you play the classic video game sounds of the past.
“Kamata,” is a collaboration between the musical instrument company KORG and the sound team of the game development company BANDAI NAMCO Studios Inc. Developed as a KORG Gadget mobile music production app “Kamata,” is a synthesizer that lets you play the classic video game sounds of the past.
BANDAI NAMCO Studio’s sound team remains at the forefront of the video game music scene and has now created a high-quality reconstruction of the sound engine of that time. Kamata includes preset sounds by Junko Ozawa, who created many of the Namco game sounds, as well as sounds by Denji Sano and other current sound designers.
Kamata is a KORG synthesizer gadget with a wave memory sound engine that brings the video game sounds of the ’80s into today. By using Kamata you can reproduce the actual sounds from those memorable video games, as well as generate completely new ’80s video game sounds for your music today.
